Production & Sustainability Intern

O My Bag is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and purpose-driven Production & Sustainability Intern to join our team for a 5-6 months full-time internship. In this dynamic role, you’ll work at the intersection of sustainable design development, innovation, and impact. Supporting both our Production and Sustainability teams in day-to-day tasks, long-term projects, and cross-functional initiatives, you’ll contribute to the conscious and ethical design development of our bags, ensuring they bring a positive impact.


What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll assist the production team in ensuring smooth operations across development, planning, and product lifecycle processes. You’ll work closely with the Sustainability Manager to help us grow our impact.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Sustainable Design Development: Contribute to the collection development from concept to final product, including assistance with technical drawings and prototype reviews.

  • Sampling: Support the sampling process by collecting and organizing feedback.

  • Traceability & Digital Passport: Help in the digital product passport (QR code) process, from initial setup at headquarters to the final stages of implementation.

  • BCorp: Support the BCorp certification process and attend BCorp Fashion Circle meetings to learn and stay informed about industry practices

  • Content Creation: Help create sustainability content for our social channels (LinkedIn, Instagram & TikTok).

  • Data Management & Reporting: Assist with data collection for our yearly footprint calculation, maintain and update the product database, ensuring all product details are accurately updated into the system.

  • Materials Research & Management: Research new sustainable and innovative materials, including alternatives for leather. Organize and archive material swatches and document them. 

  • Team Support: Help prepare team presentations and coordinate small team activities.

  • Analysis: Provide short weekly updates on sales and competitor trends.

Job requirements

You Are…

  • A student (or recent graduate) in Sustainability, Fashion Production, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Excited about joining a fast-growing, international scale-up where no two days are the same.

  • Someone who gets things done and always strives for the best result.

  • Creative thinker, organized, detail-oriented, and not afraid to take initiative.

  • A strong communicator, fluent in English (Dutch is a plus!).

  • Available full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 5–6 months.

  • Passionate about ethical fashion, sustainability, and making a positive impact.

  • Comfortable working with tools like Illustrator and Excel (or eager to learn!).

  • Based in (or willing to commute daily to) Amsterdam, as the role requires working from our office in De Pijp.

Meet the Team
You’ll join our Production & Sustainability Team, led by Jessica our Head of Product & Sustainability. Your internship supervisor will be Alexandra, our Sustainability Manager, who will guide you throughout your journey.

You’ll also work closely with Roberta, our Product Developer and bag designer. From her, you’ll get the chance to learn all the ins and outs of the craft discovering the full process behind creating our beautiful bags, from first sketches to finished products.
